“Welcome to your Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship programme delivered by ABM Training. We are excited to have you onboard and learning with us.
Your 12 month apprenticeship will include workshops taught by experts, virtual classrooms, professional coaching , 1-2-1 support and we’ll guide you through a programme that is deigned to make you a better and more effecting Teaching Assistant.
Who is this apprenticeship aimed at?
You’ll be joining our apprenticeship because you already work in a Primary, Special or Secondary School or education setting. Our apprenticeship is equally appropriate for Teaching Assistants working across all age groups and with learners from all backgrounds and needs groups You’ll be supporting the class teacher, enhancing pupils’ learning in groups or individually; ensuring pupils understand the work they have been set, that they understand their learning objectives, and stay on track.
What will you learn during your programme?
This is a challenging and stretching apprenticeship based on a wide range of expert workshops. Core themes include: the schools curriculum; how young people learn, safeguarding and schools policies and procedures. We move on to study the use of phonics, S.E.N.D and assessment processes, the use of technologies in schools and learning resources. You’ll complete the course by presenting a final project demonstrating how you have utilised the knowledge and skills you’ve acquired.
You will experience a blend of learning, consisting of innovative and experiential conference style CPD workshops, forum theatre, and one to one coaching. You will also access dynamic e-learning and videos to help you embed your knowledge, enabling you to transfer your new skills into the workplace.
